Megan and Chris’ Cousiac Manor wedding was absolutely gorgeous! We started the day with getting ready and then braved the wind (and cold!) to capture a very special first look under the trellis. We used the barn to block the wind from loved ones and family members for portraits, but thankfully it lessened a little for their breathtaking ceremony overlooking the water. They were married by Megan’s brother-in-law and surrounded by their closest friends and family.
Megan and Chris faced so many Covid-19 challenges planning their wedding and opted to have a small private reception with their closed loved ones at home. We are so excited for their future together and honored to have been a part of their Cousiac Manor wedding!
One of my absolute favorite images of the day was capturing Megan’s mom looking up at her while getting ready. It’s such a special time for mom or a special mentor in your life to help zip up your dress and see you for the first time. This moment was unforgettable as you could truly see the joy Megan and her mom shared on her wedding day.
Are you thinking about planning a farm wedding overlooking the water near Williamsburg, VA? The Cousiac Manor is a wonderful choice of venue for your dream wedding if you love the farm look and barn for your reception. We had such fun trying to get the wedding party onto the dock by the water (hoping we didn’t become some viral social media story about falling in the water). The property is most gorgeous right at sunset, so I recommend planning your ceremony time to line up so that portraits with your family and wedding party happen right in that one hour before sunset window.
