I'm MATTIE

I fell in love with traveling as a teenager and quickly filled my passport with stamps from around the world.  Coupled with a love of learning about new cultures came a fascination with photography and capturing images of new people and places. 

When my first son was born, I decided to try my hand at taking some "professional" photos of him... what started as googling poses and buying a nice lens quickly turned into a passion.  That year, I took hours of classes and practiced on every person I could find!   

9 years and one baby later, I'm more and more in love with photographing smiles, laughs, emotions... I'm most excited to use my passion to help children around the world!  When I opened my business in 2017, my husband joined me as an assistant for weddings and we committed to donating 20% up front to help children and orphans.  I now serve as a wedding, senior and family photographer in Williamsburg, VA.
