What a fun senior mini session for Mary on the James River! For years I have worked for Walsingham Academy as a photographer for many of their events and marketing materials. They are such lovely people, and I have enjoyed getting to know the staff and greater Walsingham family greatly. This year, they reached out to ask if I would like to donate a session to their fundraising auction (that I was actually photographing – SO fun!).
We decided to donate a family or senior mini session and were so excited to support Walsingham. To my surprise, I received an email from Mary’s mom that their family had the winning bid for our auction item. I knew Mary already! A couple summers ago during Covid, we were looking for childcare for our two boys and a friend at Walsingham had recommended Mary. She ended up babysitting our two boys (1 year old and 6 year old at the time) that summer. Anyone who dealt with childcare situations during Covid knows how much of a blessing this was to find someone great with kids and who shared your ethics and values.
Mary was an amazing influence on my kids, and I was so excited for the opportunity to catch up, finally “officially” meet her mom, and photograph her for a senior mini session. Mary is very active on a rowing team, so it was only fitting to photograph her at a beach on the James River! While their session only included 5 images, I could not help myself – I took almost 100 in our short mini session. Mary is absolutely gorgeous. Add in the glow of the evening sun and a beautiful beach… I think you’ll agree that the images are FANTASTIC.
Mary – congratulations!! We are SO excited for you!
Are you ready to book your senior session? I would love to connect!
