Hiiii! It’s me, again! I am excited to share Sam and Alexander’s engagement session on the blog. It was scorching hot outside; but we had a great time exploring Colonial Williamsburg for their session.
When Sam and Alexander first reached out to me, they shared their love for Williamsburg and its history. Colonial Williamsburg was the perfect backdrop for their Williamsburg engagement session, as this is where they have spent much time together and where they will be married (at the iconic Williamsburg Inn).
Let’s just be honest, Williamsburg in the summertime may look gorgeous in pictures, but it is HOT and HUMID! Sam and Alexander introduced me to these cool mini ac (like a fan that takes water inside of it to cool) things, and they brought one to their session as well as water. Love doesn’t care about the hot weather, and neither do dedicated photographers 🙂 🙂 – we pushed through and captured some AMAZING images!
The beautifully preserved historic buildings, green trees, brick pathways and blue sky provided a dreamlike background for Sam and Alexander’s session. The couple radiated joy, and their love for each other shone through each photo we took. I am SO excited for them!
Golden hour is one of my favorite times to book sessions, and the evening glow did not disappoint. As the session progressed, the light became more dreamy and the weather a little cooler (it’s Virginia summertime, so you know it wasn’t much, but we were grateful for even a degree or two less!).
As a wedding photographer, engagement sessions remind me of why I love what I do. Engagement sessions give us the opportunity before your wedding day to get to know each other. I am SO blessed to be a part of each couple’s journey and to capture your love story in a meaningful way.
