Bobby and Lydia’s Wedding in Richmond at Hollyfield Manor
Lydia and Bobby met at William and Mary and grew closer through Pep Band; however, it wasn’t until Covid shut down Virginia that they reconnected and grew closer. Bobby proposed on the Crim Dell Bridge at William and Mary – a gorgeous site for an engagement in Williamsburg, VA. They tied the knot outside Richmond with family and friends celebrating at Hollyfield Manor. We were so blessed to photograph their special day!
I am not sure I can even choose a favorite photo from this gorgeous wedding in Richmond, VA. We battled quite a bit with the wind, but we ended up with absolutely beautiful images. From the bridal portrait of Lydia surrounded by her elegant train to sunset portraits we stepped out of the reception to get down by the gazebo and water, I am gushing over every image from this breathtaking day.
This was my first time traveling out to Hollyfield Manor outside of Richmond, VA since we are based here in Williamsburg. The venue did not disappoint – the staff were so friendly and the reception space was bright and airy for wonderful images. The room has a gorgeous fireplace, chandeliers and is painted neutral tones to work with any decor you have chosen for your special day. The manor is very historic and perfect for getting ready with your besties.
Lydia and Bobby chose to get married by the water – I loved that they prioritized time during their reception to get those magical sunset portraits as the ones by the gazebo are some of my favorites from all the weddings we’ve done this year. What a beautiful, windy, breathtaking day! Congratulations to Lydia and Bobby – your wedding in Richmond was unforgettable! <3
