Emily and Tyler are engaged!!! CONGRATULATIONS!! I loved walking around with them in Colonial Williamsburg and hearing their story <3. Their early fall engagement session was beautiful.

Full disclosure – Tyler and Emily have a wedding website, and they did a phenomenal job writing their love story out. I’m going to paraphrase quite a bit of it here!

Tyler and Emily met on Hinge (we have photographed many couples lately who met here!). Emily had a travel nursing contract in Charlotte, NC and Tyler was stationed at Fort Bragg (two hours away). Emily joined Hinge hoping to get to know the city and enjoy some of the local restaurants. Tyler saw Emily’s profile and decided to give it a go, despite the distance.

Emily met Tyler halfway for brunch on a Sunday. There was a 30 minute wait, so they enjoyed coffee first at a local coffee shop. Their brunch date extended into ice cream afterwards… and here they are planning their dream wedding at the Williamsburg Inn! Their early fall engagement session perfect captures their love for each other – I just love the forehead kisses and images looking into each other’s eyes 🙂 :).

You may be wondering how they got engaged? It certainly wasn’t right after their fall brunch; but summer rolled around, and Emily had a new contract working in Richmond, VA. Tyler and Emily dressed up to celebrate and went to Libby Hill after dinner. Libby Hill is a local park with a fantastic view of Richmond, particularly of the sunset! As they were walking around, Tyler suddenly dropped to one knee. Emily said, “YES!” before he could even finish!

Ahhhhhhh! I don’t know about you all, but I LOVE hearing love stories. Love. Love. Love.
