Your Family Photographer in Williamsburg, VA
I am SO incredibly grateful for families that choose me to capture their memories year after year. Erin reached out for a session again this year, having done a session in Colonial Williamsburg in 2021 and LOVING her images and experience with three little ones. While I don’t possess any special magic or tricks, I am repeatedly asked how I get such great images of little ones during their sessions. Erin’s kids loved the new location this year, and we had a blast!
Schedules are crazy in the fall when so many families want to book a family photographer in Williamsburg, VA (fall seems to remind us all that we need new photos and to prepare for Christmas cards). I am always a fan of golden hour and the beautiful images created that time of day (before another photographer jumps in with their opinion that great photographers can create great images even in full sun or the middle of the day… you are right; but I also believe that if you’re available at sunset, why not enjoy the natural glow and serenity of an evening sky?! It works great for so many clients who work all day too). Between Erin’s schedule and mine, we weren’t able to find a day that worked… but I am SOOO glad we decided to set our alarms and try a sunrise session instead.
Jamestown Beach is a small beach on the James River in Williamsburg, VA. In the summer, it can be crowded, especially on the weekends. Scheduling a sunrise session any time throughout the year almost ensures that you will have the beach to yourselves to capture fun candid moments and posed images of your dreams (just be sure to check that there isn’t a triathlon or big event planned!). Until then, enjoy looking through the blog at more family sessions in Williamsburg, VA :)!
