I looooove being a part of such a special time when families get together for vacation. This session in Colonial Williamsburg was no exception! CW gardens are such a great place to take pictures while you’re on vacation, especially if you have kids.
Many of the gardens are tucked away from the main streets, so your kids can run around and loosen up a little before the session (and continue to play as we take pictures to get some fun candids).
One of the things most clients don’t realize when they book summer vacation photos in Colonial Williamsburg is how HOT and HUMID Williamsburg can actually get. Combine that with the super bright sun mid-day, I encourage my clients to schedule an early morning or late evening photo session. Let’s be honest, it’s vacation, so most choose evening!
By booking a late evening session while you’re on vacation, you have plenty of time to enjoy your day sightseeing (Busch Gardens, Jamestown, Yorktown, Colonial Williamsburg – you name it) – head back to your resort to dress up and even enjoy an early dinner at a nice restaurant before your session starts. Change the kids right before the start time of your session, and remember to bring LOTS of water!
