I’m taking a few weeks off from photo sessions and kicked it off with a mini-family vacay. We decided to try a long car trip with Noah and head over to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. I usually focus all my photography on people, but it was fun to try a few waterfall images with the tripod. The water looks so amazing, right?!
Noah’s highlights of the trip were many – but FOOD was a big one as he LOVED the unlimited cheetohs and snacks for a long car ride and lots of hiking. He also found staying in a hotel SUPER fun!
We were able to visit caverns while we were there too – another fun thing for Noah to see. He asked so many questions and enjoyed when they turned out all the lights to show us how dark it is under there.
We hiked quite a bit and took turns carrying Noah in our hiking backpack (such a great $10 buy I found on Facebook marketplace!). Zeko as usual can sprint to the top while I lag behind; but it was so amazing to just be out in nature and enjoying creation. We were able to rent a boat and paddle around a lake as well.
Overall, it was so great to just get away and have family time! I did bring my camera, but even taking pictures was a small portion of the trip. I’m glad we have these few snaps to remember the incredible time we had away from electronics and ALL the busyness of the world.
