Rachel and James are married! Their summer wedding at the Wren Chapel with a reception at the Williamsburg Inn was complete with the most energetic dance floor that I’ve ever seen! Rachel and James both graduated from William and Mary, so it was fitting to have their ceremony in the iconic Wren Chapel on the William and Mary college campus. We were even able to get a William and Mary alum photo with their friends!
Rachel chose a dusty blue and coral for her colors, and the images truly popped. Her bouquet was crafted by Lindsey Codekas at the Williamsburg Inn who does an amazing job (along with Yuani and their whole team)! They used beautiful florals on the steps to the Wren Building and on each table in the Regency Room at the Williamsburg Inn.
Rachel and her girls got ready at the Williamsburg Lodge and then headed over to the Williamsburg Inn to put on her dress and have a first look with James in the beautiful lobby. We then headed over to the William and Mary College campus for their ceremony at the history Wren Building (it was hot, so the bus they rented was fantastic!). The Wren Chapel was packed to the max, and their fellow William and Mary alum and close friend performed the ceremony. Afterwards, Rachel and James even rang the bell!
After the ceremony and some time for family formals, Rachel and James joined cocktail hour in the Fountain Garden. Their friends had a banner for them to run through as their entrance. The Fife and Drum then led everyone to the Regency Room at the Williamsburg Inn for the reception, complete with dances and dinner. When the music started on the dance floor, it was the chair dance song, and I was so surprised by the energy in the room! The guys tossed Rachel in a chair and up in the air SO quickly. It was SO fun and SO high energy. I loved capturing James spinning Rachel around the dance floor once they got down as well. Congratulations, Rachel and James!
