Confession time! The CNU (Christopher Newport University) Campus is less than 30 minutes from my home in Williamsburg, VA, and this was my FIRST TIME walking and exploring. As much as I love William and Mary (it is my alma mater, after all!), it was so fun to explore somewhere new. Lauren’s senior portraits at CNU turned out amazing!
Christopher Newport University is the perfect place for senior portraits as the campus has great natural light – many of the staircases are white and reflective (great for bright and airy photos). I just LOVED the architecture of so many of the buildings. The campus also has colorful flowers planted strategically throughout the campus. My favorite spot was definitely the white arches where we finished Lauren’s graduation photo session though. They are so cool and make such a fun photo!
Lauren’s sister, Katelin, is a close friend of mine from when she was a student at William and Mary – when she contacted me about gifting her sister a senior portrait session at CNU, I was so excited to spend time with the two of them. We chose to have the session about 1.5 hours before sunset, taking advantage of that gorgeous golden hour lighting on campus. We had such a fun time that we kept taking photos til the sun set and light was almost gone.
I am truly in love with how the images turned out! Congratulations, Lauren! We had such a wonderful time celebrating your upcoming graduation with these senior portraits at CNU! <3
If you are thinking about booking a senior portrait session at either CNU or William and Mary College, please reach out today – I would LOVE to bring your vision to life for images that represent you and celebrate this season of accomplishment (woo hoo!). Congratulations in advance, senior!
