Covid has brought so many challenges in our lives. That has led to so many more elopements and smaller, more intimate weddings.  Even if you’re already married or have chosen to do a not so picturesque ceremony at the courthouse or in your living room, it’s never too late to dress back up and book a session for wedding portraits in Colonial Williamsburg (or anywhere else for that matter)!  

Devynn and Olgun contacted me recently as they had gotten married during the pandemic, but they wanted to put their wedding outfits back on and take formal portraits.  I was so excited for the opportunity to get to know them and capture these photos in Colonial Williamsburg! We enjoyed walking through the gardens and the palace lawn for portraits.  Their wedding rings were so beautiful on the greenery from her bouquet! 

Devynn and Olgun were able to purchase a bouquet and boutonniere just for the portrait session – I’ve found that some couple’s are very successful making their own too (ya’ll Trader Joe’s is my SPOT for fresh flowers if you have an eye for these kind of things and want to make your own).  The gardeners’ in Colonial Williamsburg are seriously amazing, so that always adds such beauty and warmth to your portrait session – I do NOT have a green thumb so I’m always amazed that the gardens have seasonal flowers blooming almost all year round.  

One of my favorite things about CW as well is that we can take photos that have a farm feel, historical feel and downtown feel – each within 5 minutes of walking distance.  You canNOT go wrong with booking your wedding portraits in Colonial Williamsburg.
