Leah & Michael’s Beautiful Ford’s Colony Country Club Wedding
Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!! I’m so incredibly excited for Leah and Michael! Congratulations! When they contacted me about their Ford’s Colony Country Club wedding in Williamsburg, VA, I just knew from the first time I met them that they were in LOVE and that their future together was going to be beautiful. We connected immediately, and I was so thrilled to be a part of their special day.
One of the iconic locations at the country club is definitely the large gazebo when you are driving up. In the middle of the day, there is a very small amount of shade on the grass in front of the gazebo, so we made the most of that spot for Leah and Michael’s first look. They chose to let the groomsmen see her first – you can see from their reaction how fun of a group they were! Michael was next, and his face perfectly displayed his love and awe of how beautiful his bride is. How special to capture this moment for years to come!
We were ahead of schedule for the day, so it was awesome to have extra time to go around with the wedding party and check out more spots on the golf course. Leah and Michael’s friends had a LOT of fun just hanging out and taking pictures together. We then headed indoors for a beautiful ceremony – where Michael hugged each groomsman (with a loud pounding of each one’s back too!) and then watched his beautiful wife-to-be walk down the aisle to say, “I do.”
The reception space was just as breathtaking as every other part of the venue for their Ford’s Colony Country Club wedding – complete with chandeliers and beautiful neutral tones. Leah and Michael decorated with lovely greens and made the space their own. One fun idea they had to make the dinner line flow quicker was to grab a photo with their guests as each table headed to the buffet line. They now have pictures with each person who attended their wedding to cherish.
The night ended with a super fun sparker send off – this is definitely my favorite image of Michael from the day! I hope you enjoy scrolling through their Ford’s Colony Country Club wedding as much as I enjoyed taking each picture. Congratulations again, Leah and Michael!
