Dana’s Beautiful Virginia Bridal Portraits on her Family Farm
I am SO excited to finally be able to share Dana’s bridal portraits taken in the beautiful Virginia countryside! One of my favorite things about being a Williamsburg Wedding Photographer is building relationships with my brides and meeting their families. To me, photography is more than just a transaction – it’s about genuine connection and capturing emotion – the laughter, the tears, the joy!
I was SO excited to drive out of Williamsburg into Rural Virginia to Dana’s family’s farm for her portrait session. She is a STUNNING bride! <3.
Are you considering bridal portraits? I enjoyed looking up the tradition a little more after becoming a photographer – I grew up in Virginia and remember attending weddings where the bridal portraits were framed for the guests to see in the reception area on the day of the wedding. It’s definitely a southern tradition, but bridal portraits actually originated in Europe! Who would have known?!
As you think about doing a hair and make up trial, this can be such a fun day to plan – perhaps your florist can do a trial bouquet. Line that up with a hair and makeup trial, and it becomes the perfect time to see how your dress alterations went, how you feel moving around in your dress, etc. While we hope you LOVE all your trials, this is such a great time to figure out the things you want to fix – how did your hair do after walking around and being outside for a bit? Does your dress need any final alterations? Did you like your make-up and feel like your images represented you? As someone with a planning personality, this takes away so much stress on your wedding day as you will feel comfortable and know what you like!
Now that you’ve seen Dana’s GORGEOUS bridal portraits, check out her wedding here!
