A Traditional Church Wedding in Virginia
We were so excited to celebrate with Ben and Maya (along with so many friends we know from the BCM at William and Mary, as Ben is an alumnus!). Ben and Maya chose to marry in Farmville, Virginia near friends and family. They held their ceremony at Concord Baptist Church – it reminded me of my small country church where I grew up. The Virginia hospitality was warmly felt, and we truly enjoyed being a part of this traditional church wedding in Virginia.
Ben and Maya held their reception at the nearby Blackwell Hall at Longwood University, also in Farmville, Virginia. The rain held off for our first look and wedding party pictures (it was surprisingly bright for those despite the forecast for rain); and Blackwell Hall was a perfect place toKitchen capture some indoor photos in the rain. I just loved the glass hallway with natural light coming in. One of my favorite reception images was of Ben’s mom and Maya both kissing him on each cheek – SO CUTE!
Maya’s details were absolutely beautiful – from baby blue point toe shoes with glistening crystals to a lovely bouquet of pinks and creams, every detail came together beautifully. Ben and Maya ended the day with guests lining up (the rain cleared out!) and throwing confetti. I just love the images we captured with the confetti flying – the joy on Ben and Maya’s faces is SO evident. I am so excited for them and their future together.
Congratulations, Ben and Maya!
